INDIA bloc to protest against discriminatory Budget at Parliament today

Opposition leaders criticize Budget for being partial

Breaking News From India

The INDIA bloc, a coalition of opposition parties, is set to protest against the recently passed Budget in Parliament today. Many opposition leaders have criticized the Budget for being partial towards certain sections of the population and for not addressing the needs of the poor and marginalized.

The protest is expected to begin at 11 am in front of the Parliament building. The INDIA bloc has said that it will not allow the government to pass the Budget without addressing its concerns. The government has not yet commented on the protest.

The Budget was passed by the Lok Sabha, the lower house of Parliament, on February 1. It has now been sent to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house, for approval. The Rajya Sabha is expected to vote on the Budget next week.

The INDIA bloc is a coalition of 18 opposition parties. It was formed in 2019 to challenge the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The bloc has been critical of the BJP's policies, including its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
